From start to finish it was a positive experience. Sierra Homes has a very clean and professional showroom and it wasn't overwhelming. The foreman visited the site 3-4 times per week and if we ever had any questions or concerns we were able to contact him personally and he took care of it. As first time home buyers my wife and I felt a certain amount of trepidation when beginning the process of buying a home. Although we have never worked with any other builders we are confident that the process could not have been any more pleasant. We just wanted to thank Sierra Homes for the beautiful job they did on our home. We had a few complications with our loan so Sierra Homes worked very hard to get our home built. We never thought that we would ever build a home because of all the negative things we heard other people say about their home building experience. After speaking with Jay Stocking, he put our minds at ease. The process was much easier than we thought it would be. Sierra Homes has it all figured out from the first set of plans down to the last finishing touches. We were able to as Jay says, "Sit back and enjoy watching your home being built." We did! We were right there watching everything from start to finish. They made sure everything was to our specifications. If there was a problem, it was fixed. No questions asked.
We have been in our home for six months now. We love it! There have been a few things come up during this time, but Sierra Homes has followed through on everything! Really!!! We bought our Sierra Home because of some of the following: 2"X6" walls, 4" baseboards, the big doublepane windows, Knotty Alder Cabinets, above standard faucets in the kitchen and bath, and the excellent concrete work.
The color coordination both inside and out is excellent.
If a minor problem comes up for warranty work, our project manager Jon has the right people here promptly to fix it. Jon is great to work with.

In 2008 we were looking to purchase a larger home because of our kids getting married and we had more grandkids. We found the perfect home but were too late to buy it. So Jon built it for us. We were able to pick all of our colors and upgrades both inside and out.

We decided to sell our 4,000 square foot house in Farr West to size down.
It is only the two of us, and we wanted everything smaller and on one level.
We looked everywhere from Tremonton to Kaysville. The places we looked at were either too far away, or way too expensive. We happened to stop by the Sierra Homes model house at the Fort Bingham Estates in Ogden.
We met with Teresa, the real estate agent, and Jon, the project manager. With Teresa helping us, we looked at all the floor plans and lots that were available, and we finally decided on the Alpine, a roomy, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house.
We picked out everything from the carpet to the color of the walls, and with Teresa's help, we added some up-grades that made the house perfect. Dealing with Jon, the building phase was completed on time and with no problems what so ever. The entire experience from start to finish was very positive and painless.
